a) 5 + -8= 5+3=8 so -8+5=-3
b) -4 + 10= 4 is negitive so you do 10-4 and that is 6 so -4 + 10=6
c) 4-9= b/c 9 is more than 4 the answer is negitive, and 4+5=9 so 4-9=-5
d) -8 - (-9)= 1 b/c -8 minus - debt = + so it is 1 b/c 9 is 1 greater than 8.
